Nubia, ZTE sub-brand, just announced the Nubia Z18 in China, a more powerful variant of the Mini model that was released sometime in April. It has a 5.99-inch display with a small "U" notch at the top, which accommodates the selfie camera. This let the phone archived a 91.8% screen-to-body ratio.
The display resolution is Full HD+ and the aspect ratio is 18:9. Both the front and back are covered by Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. Powering the device is an octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor clocked at 2.8GHz, paired with up to 8GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage options are 64GB and 128GB with no external storage support.
Dual camera system resides at the back of the Nubia Z18 for photography— both sporting a 16MP sensor with a bright f/1.6 aperture for good low-light shot. There is optical image stabilization onboard and the overall camera system is tuned by AI. At the front is an 8MP camera with 1080p video recording capability.
Moreover, the front camera supports facial recognition that can detect 106 facial points. Face unlock feature is embedded as well. The Nubia Z18 housed a fingerprint scanner at the back in addition to face unlock security, it is fuelled by a 3450mAh battery.

The 6GB RAM+64GB storage version of the Nubia Z18 is priced at CNY 2799 ($409 USD), while the 8GB RAM+128GB storage version costs CNY 3299 ($482 USD). There is also a special edition of the smartphone dubbed "Van Gogh Starlight Collector’s Edition", priced at CNY 3599 ($526 USD). Sales will begin from September 11th in China.
