ZTE's Nubia brand today introduced a new flagship smartphone in China called Nubia X. The phone sheltered in two displays, two fingerprint sensors, and two hi-res cameras at the back - its most notable highlights.



Unlike other premium smartphones in the market, the Nubia X comes loaded with two displays; the first is a 6.26-inch Full HD+ LCD display which is located at the front, while the secondary 5.1-inch HD+ OLED display sits at the back, both protected by Gorilla Glass 3. This does not in anyway hinders the smartphone to achieve an impressive 93.6% screen-to-body ratio.



The achievement, however, do come at a great price. To make the bezels as thin as possible, Nubia has sacrificed the front camera. There is simply none, so you will have to rely on the dual rear camera. Speaking of the rear camera, the Nubia X primary rear camera has a 16MP f/1.8 sensor with PDAF, while the secondary camera touts a 24MP f/1.7 sensor.



Since there is a screen large enough to show the full preview of picture taken at the back, the rear camera will do well in taking selfie and should be easy enough to use. The Nubia X harboured not only one but two fingerprint sensors at the either side as well. This provide an easier access for right handed or left handed users irrespective of the phone position when in hand.



The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, which is not expandable. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3800mAh battery. There is no 3.5mm audio jack onboard.

Apple at an event held in New York on Tuesday unwrapped its 2018 iPad Pro's and MacBook Air products. The firm's latest device brings abrupt changes not only in specs but in design as well. Starting with the iPad Pro, the design language has been refined and it looked modern more than ever - the removal of the iconic Touch ID provides more screen estate for the screen to stretch wider and the bezels to be thinner.



The latest iPad Pro are curved around the edges, more curved when compared with their predecessors to say. As could be expected, Apple is offering the device in two variants; the first features an 11-inch (2388 x 1668 pixel) Liquid Retina display and is powered by a 29.37Wh battery, while the second model features a 12.9-inch (2732 x 2048 pixel) Liquid Retina display and is powered by a 36.71Wh battery.



The displays have 600 nits of brightness, pixel density of 264PPI, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Apple said the batteries powering its 2018 iPad Pro's can render up to 10 hours of music playback or Wi-Fi browsing. The core processing is driven by Apple's latest (and probably the fastest) A12X Bionic 7nm 64-bit octa-core chipset, which is accompanied by a 7-core (or hepta-core) GPU and M12 motion co-processor. The chipset also has a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) for AI applications.



For the first time in history Apple has dumped its proprietary lightning port for a USB Type-C port on its new iPad Pro, which many Apple fans will greatly rejoice about. This does not only increase its compatibility ratio with other device, but it also offer more flexibility and refined control when using it with other peripheral devices.



The iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch comes with USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen 2) that offer ultra high-speed data transfer rate. Not only that, the new port can also powered up to 5K external displays. Moreover, the USB Type-C supports reverse charging and can be used to charge other Apple mobile device such as an iPhone.



Let's talk about the security features. Since the Touch ID (and the home button) has gone to rest in peace, Apple has implemented the new security system that were used on its recent iPhones dubbed "Face ID". This uses an advance facial recognition software for biometric authentication in apps, settings and other programs.



The large screen estate on the iPad Pro are put into better use with an optional Apple Pencil that will be sold separately. The upgraded Apple Pencil now features a new touch sensor that can detect taps, providing a new way to interact within apps. The stylus magnetically attaches to the device and is wirelessly charged. There is also a new Smart Keyboard Folio that magnetically attaches to the back; this does not only provide a full-sized keyboard but it also protect the front and the back of the iPad Pro's.

The RAM configuration go as high as 16GB (2133MHz), with up to 1.5TB SSD coupled along. Apple said the SSDs are faster than those on the 2017 model. Furthermore, this features a Force Touch trackpad that is 20-percent larger than the one on the previous model.



The trackpad is pressure-sensitive and can deliver haptic feedback. The speakers on the MacBook Air are 25-percent louder, the firm further claimed. The laptop have two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a FaceTime HD camera, third-generation butterfly keyboard, and can deliver up to 12 hours of battery life.

The OnePlus 6T has finally go official as expected. The Chinese company has pulled the wraps off at an event held in London to celebrate the launch, revealing the full specs sheet and pricing details for the US and the European markets.



The OnePlus 6T is an upgraded model and the successor of OnePlus 6, and in this regard the phone comes with new features (few nonetheless). Its front and back are now covered with Corning latest Gorilla Glass 6; but there are two models with different design language.



There is a Midnight Black version that has a 'matte" glass finish on the back with a Gorilla Glass 6 protection, and a Mirror Black version that has a black glass back that refract light to produce hue effects. The Mirror Black version alsve has Gorilla Glass protection at the front and back.



In terms of specifications, the phone features a larger 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display compared to OnePlus 6 6.28-inch screen, is slightly taller at 19.5:9 aspect ratio, while the screen resolution remains Full HD+. The display has a waterdrop notch at the top that harbors the front camera and other array of sensors such as Ambient Light and Proximity sensors.



Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor accompanied with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. At the rear is a vertically-aligned 16MP+20MP dual rear camera with Sony sensors, while it has a 16MP camera at the front, same as its predecessor.



The OnePlus 6T water-resistant body earns no ratings or certification, which is disappointing. Perhaps the most noticeable feature that the phone brings is the in-display fingerprint sensor. The firm claimed the new biometric security can unlock the phone within 0.34 seconds, this provides additional security with the face unlock security embedded in the front camera.



In software aspect, the phone runs Android 9.0 Pie buttered with Oxygen OS 9.0. The OnePlus 6T is powered by a bigger 3700mAh battery with Dash Charge fast charging. Most will not be pleased to know that OnePlus has get rid of the 3.5mm audio jack and instead opted in for the USB-C audio. A USB-C to 3.5mm adapter is included in the box though.

• OnePlus 6T with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage -> Rs 45,999

In overall, the OnePlus 6T offer a subtle upgrade when compared with OnePlus 6; the in-display fingerprint sensor and the larger battery are the most prominent. But OnePlus has followed HTC, Apple and other popular brand by removing the 3.5mm audio jack, which possibly hint that the OnePlus 7 may not have it either. Is OnePlus still the brand we knew three years ago?

The Mi Mix 3 has been declared official by Xiaomi as expected today, the company's latest flagship. The third generation Mi Mix brings abrupt changes in specs and design when compared with the previous generations. The most notable of this is the sliding screen, which let the phone achieved an impressive 93.4% screen-to-body ratio.



The sliding mechanism uses neodymium magnet that is vouched by Xiaomi to be durable and reliable for use for a long period of time. The company said the slider can last for up to 300,000 cycles. The entire front harbors the screen with a tiny earpiece at the top when the slider is closed, thanks to the ultra-thin bezels.



The front camera and other array of sensors were accommodated by the slider, which becomes visible when the screen is pushed or slide down. Apart from housing some of the hardware, some features are also implemented with the slider that makes it smart. You can answer or reject a call, instantly take a selfie, or open the shortcuts drawer by simply sliding up or down.



The Mi Mix 3 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, which is quite larger when compared with its predecessors. Powering the phone is an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with up to 10GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The processor brings the support for Google ARCore for Augmented Reality.



The screen is not the only new thing that the Mi Mix 3 boasted of - residing at the back is 12MP+12MP dual camera; the primary camera featuring a 1/2.6″ Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, while the secondary camera has a telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture for optical zoom. Xiaomi said the camera can shoot 960fps slow-mo video and 4K video.



There is dual camera at the front hidden underneath the slider as well in 24MP+2MP configuration, and a selfie light too. Xiomi revealed that the cameras achieved a DxOMark mobile score of 103 points, DxOMark photo score of 108 points, and DxOMark video score of 93 points, which are quite impressive.



The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 on top. An AI Voice Assistant is also pre-installed with the OS. There is a fingerprint sensor at the rear, while the power that powered the entire system is drawn from a 3,850mAh battery, with supports for fast wired and wireless charging.

The Mi Mix 3 has been declared official by Xiaomi as expected today, the company's latest flagship. The third generation Mi Mix brings abrupt changes in specs and design when compared with the previous generations. The most notable of this is the sliding screen, which let the phone achieved an impressive 93.4% screen-to-body ratio.



The sliding mechanism uses neodymium magnet that is vouched by Xiaomi to be durable and reliable for use for a long period of time. The company said the slider can last for up to 300,000 cycles. The entire front harbors the screen with a tiny earpiece at the top when the slider is closed, thanks to the ultra-thin bezels.



The front camera and other array of sensors were accommodated by the slider, which becomes visible when the screen is pushed or slide down. Apart from housing some of the hardware, some features are also implemented with the slider that makes it smart. You can answer or reject a call, instantly take a selfie, or open the shortcuts drawer by simply sliding up or down.



The Mi Mix 3 features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, which is quite larger when compared with its predecessors. Powering the phone is an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with up to 10GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The processor brings the support for Google ARCore for Augmented Reality.



The screen is not the only new thing that the Mi Mix 3 boasted of - residing at the back is 12MP+12MP dual camera; the primary camera featuring a 1/2.6″ Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, while the secondary camera has a telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture for optical zoom. Xiaomi said the camera can shoot 960fps slow-mo video and 4K video.



There is dual camera at the front hidden underneath the slider as well in 24MP+2MP configuration, and a selfie light too. Xiomi revealed that the cameras achieved a DxOMark mobile score of 103 points, DxOMark photo score of 108 points, and DxOMark video score of 93 points, which are quite impressive.



The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 on top. An AI Voice Assistant is also pre-installed with the OS. There is a fingerprint sensor at the rear, while the power that powered the entire system is drawn from a 3,850mAh battery, with supports for fast wired and wireless charging.

Xiaomi has officially pulled the wraps off its second generation gaming smartphone that has been rumored severally in the past few weeks, the Black Shark Helo Gaming Phone (a.k.a Black Shark 2). The device is here to compete with other recent gaming phones such as the Razer Phone 2.



It inherited most of its specifications from its predecessor, but this comes with more advance features that is lacking on the previous generation. The Black Shark Helo Gaming Phone has a slightly larger 6.01-inch Full HD+ 18:9 display that touts a pixel density of 430PPI, but it is driven by the same Snapdragon 845 chipset as the former.



This however comes in 10GB RAM model with 256GB storage in addition to 8GB RAM and 6GB RAM models that the first generation boasted of. The gaming phone now features a more advance liquid cooling system with dual heat pipe, that can dissipate heat by up to 12-percent to prevent overheating.



The dedicated "Shark" physical button still remains intact on the phone side for performance boosting, and so is the fingerprint sensor, which sits at the rear. Speaking of the rear, the Black Shark Helo Gaming Phone has an AI-driven RGB LED logo that glows different lighting effect depending on the type of gameplay.








It has the same front and rear cameras, battery capacity, and connectivity as the Black Shark. It lacked the 3.5mm audio jack as well.



The firm also unveiled a new controller dock for the smartphone dubbed Black Shark Biplane Handle, this provides dual joystick with buttons and trackpad for game control. The Biplane Handle can be attached to the either side of the phone to control gameplay. The 6GB and 8GB RAM models will come with single joystick out-of-the-box, while dual joystick (left/right) will be bundled along with the 10GB RAM model.

Qualcomm at its tech summit in Hong Kong today announced a new Snapdragon chipset under the mid-range "6xx" family, the Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform. The new processor is built on a power efficient 11nm process unlike its predecessor that is based on a 10nm process.



The Snapdragon 675 is optimized for high performance with maximum efficiency. It has dual 2GHz Kryo 460 CPU that is performance driven, and hexa 1.7GHz Kryo 460 CPU that is efficiency driven. Qualcomm revealed that the processor is specifically optimized for gaming. Popular gaming platforms such as Unity, Unreal, Messiah, and NeoX are supported out-of-the-box.



It also offers the support for popular APIs such as OpenGL 3.2, Vulkan, and OpenCL. The Snapdragon 675 is tuned to cater for the need of high-end photography as well - it comes embedded with Qualcomm Spectra 250 ISP for enhanced photography, and it has supports for triple camera configuration that is becoming rampant these days.



The Snapdragon 675 is more intelligent, thanks to its multi-core AI engine, which can deliver up to 50% overall improvement in AI applications. Graphics is handled by the new Adreno 612 GPU.

Samsung last week introduced its first "Always Connected" PC in partnership with Qualcomm, which was the company's first to be powered by a Qualcomm chipset. Today, the company has introduced another portable laptop in its home country (South Korea) dubbed Notebook Flash.



This is a regular laptop with a stylish design, a high-end wireless LAN card, and up-to-date connectivity. It has a retro-styled keyboard with curved keycaps that gives it a distinct classic appearance, making it more noticeable, subtle not flashy, amidst the company laptop portfolio.



The new Notebook Flash features a 13.3-inch Full HD display with wide-viewing angle. The wireless connectivity is handled by Intel's 802.11 ac 2X2 Gigabit wireless LAN card, which according to the firm can deliver up to 1.7Gbps of download speed when transferring files. Since it will be arriving to KT carrier in Korea first, Samsung said KT is optimized to deliver the best internet user experience and Wi-Fi service for the device.



Furthermore, an enhanced security is provided with the laptop. Running Windows 10 OS out-of-the-box, the Notebook Flash supports Windows Hello biometric security that makes use of the onboard fingerprint scanner for securing users data.



Moreover, Samsung also implemented its proprietary "secret folder" security that let users secure their personal files in a secret folder that can only be accessed by them through authentication. Among the connectivity presents are USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphones jack. It supports Universal Flash Storage (UFS) cards.



The Notebook Flash comes in Linen White,

Twill Charcoal, and Soft Coral cover colors. The "NT531XBB-K01BB" model is exclusively released on KT and it is already available for KRW 8,000 per month on years contract. The "NT530XBB-K24W" model made for the global market will be available for 820,000 won (US$715).
